1. This prescription drug is used to treat depression (it is a tricyclic antidepressant of the dibenzoxazepine class.) It may cause tardive dyskinesia in some people, and it causes a wide range of side effects. Patients may suffer withdrawal symptoms if they stop taking this drug abruptly. (09 Oct 1997)
