Medical Definition of Alpha-fucosidase

1. An enzyme that catalyses the hydrolysis of an an alpha-l-fucoside, producing an alcohol and l-fucose; a deficiency of the lysosomal enzyme will result in fucosidosis. (05 Mar 2000)
