Medical Definition of RNase P

1. An enzyme catalyzing the endonucleolytic cleavage tRNA precursors to yield 5'-phosphomonoesters. Ribonuclease P (RNase P), an enzyme (endonuclease) that trims the extra 5' nucleotides from immature tRNA; a protein RNA complex. (05 Mar 2000)
